She is survived by: her children, Deborah (William Holzendorf) of Salisbury and William "Rocky" Bates Jr.; her friend Caren of Kannapolis; her grandchildren, Lynn Hartness (Mike) of Salisbury, Erin Wolfe (Victor) of Camden, DE, Lauren Bergeson (Braydon) of St. George, UT, Kalei Bates (Chris McMickle) of Kannapolis, Bobby Johnson Jr. (Belinda) of China Grove, Wesley Johnson (Kari) of Kannapolis and Kegan Bates of Kannapolis; and her sisters, Donnell Shaver of Kannapolis and Sammy Childers of Kannapolis. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
