It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold B. Sechler of China Grove, North Carolina, who passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaither M. Sechler and Ida Pless Sechler. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Deal, Kermit Sechler, Zelia Sechler, Durad Sechler, Duree Safrit, Kathryn Beaver and Ruth Mock; his wife Phares Coleman Sechler; his children, Zetta Sechler Earnhardt (Doug) and Danny Sechler (Nita); his stepchildren, Robert Himes (Mary), Tim Himes (Kathy) and Joy Burleson (Tony); his grandchildren, Amanda Helms (Neil), Patrick Kirkman (Jena) and Caitlin Earnhardt Brown; his great grandchildren, Tanner, Jordan, Kathryn, Rylynn and Landry; and his great great grandchildren, Dawson, Charlotte, Nora, Avery, Tucker, Mason and Weston. He is also survived by Six step-grandchildren, thirteen step-great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Methodist Church of China Grove, Mt. Zion United Church of Christ or Thyatira Presbyterian Church.
