He is survived by: his wife Cheryl "Maw T" Townsend; his siblings, Philip (Donna), Ricky (Dee), Lynn (Sandy), Jerry, Danny (Barbara), Doris (Tom), Judy and Kim; his children, Melissa Sharpe (Tom), Benjamin (Jessie), Pete (Karen) and Amanda Townsend; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Hilton, Cynthia Poythress (Trevor), Haley, Paul, Eli Sharpe, Courtney and Ayla Townsend. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Powles Staton Funeral Home (913 W Main St, Rockwell, NC 28138).
