He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Richards and Virginia Richards; and his brother Thomas Richards. He is survived by: his wife Sally Richards; his son Jeff Richards (Stephanie) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Ian and McKenna; his sister Susie Faulkner (Wade) of Pine Level; his sister-in-law Kathy Richards of Harrisburg; and his pet Lil Man. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rowan County Humane Society or to the National Kidney Foundation.
