As Betty Jean departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Betty Jean may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Betty Jean leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Daugherty and Margaret Beck Daugherty. She is survived by: her husband Grant Walters; and her grandchildren, Shelby Robinette (Sam), Karlie Walters, Kurtis Walters, Kyle Walters and Wade Walters.

Memorials may be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church Outreach Community Ministry, 4820 West NC 152 Highway.
