He was predeceased by : his parents, William Stroud and Thelma Stroud; his siblings, Elbert, James, Daustin, Stanford and Viola; and his children, Tim and Tammy.

He is survived by : his wife Peggy Stroud; his sisters, Colleen, Louise and Elouise; and his children, Scott, Herbert, Melanie and Diana. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
