She was predeceased by: her parents, Graten Brittain and Louiza Engle Brittain; her husband Clyde Hoyle; her stepfather Hartsell "Bud" Brittain; her son Dale Hoyle; and her sisters, Patsy Lavery, Annabelle Grant and Effie Mae Holtsclaw.
She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Canipe (Jackie) of Lawndale and Randy Hoyle of Shelby; her grandson Clint Canipe of Lawndale; and her sisters, Carolyn Philbeck of Cherryville and Mary Daisy Grant of Lincolnton.
