He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ray and Roxanne Yount Mauney; and his grandchildren, Carla Craft and Jeremy Craft. He is survived by: his wife Frances Hudson Mauney; his children, Reba Mauney Craft (Pete), Michael Ray Mauney (Laura) and Elaine Mauney Carlson; his grandchildren, Christopher Craft (Trisha), Tricia Craft, William Mauney, Margaret Lemmer (Ranz), Evelyn Anthony (Daniel), Alexander Carlson (Meagan) and Diana Carlson; and his great grandchildren, Noah Rayfield, Kennedy Craft, Mason Craft, Kylie Craft, Parks Lemmer, Niko Carlson, Jamie Anthony, Sylar Craft, Milo Carlson, Nolan Lemmer, Liam Anthony, Boone Craft and Hayley Anthony.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (107 W Academy St, Cherryville, NC 28021). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery (300 E Church St, Cherryville, NC 28021).
