It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Coleman of Cherryville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 4, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Coleman and Ruth Roper Hines; his former wife Zeta Whisnant Coleman; his wife Joan Benton-Coleman; and his children, Leland Coleman, Roger Coleman and Deborah Coleman Curlee.
He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Coleman Helgestad; and his grandchildren, Nancy Slaughter, Jennifer Sanders (Richard), Stephanie Garrett (Cliff), Maggie Scronce (Jake), Cody Coleman and Jade Helgestad.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and face coverings will be required.
