She was predeceased by: her parents, Stowe Black and Mae Gilmore Black; her daughter Phyllis Goodman; her granddaughter Ashley Wray; and her siblings, Faye Quinn and Paul "Tobe" Black.
She is survived by: her husband Stanley Clough; her children, Vickey Wray (Ralph) of Shelby, Mickey Travis (Nick) of Lincolnton, Danny Pfeifer of Cherryville, Robert Pfeifer (Deborah) of Crouse, Jeff Pfeifer (Susan) of Crouse and Terry Pfeifer (Amie) of Cherryville; her son-in-law Wade Goodman of Crouse; and her siblings, Annie Mae Short of Cherryville and Johnny Black of Vale. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
