He was predeceased by: his father James Flay Mellon. He is survived by: his mother Annie Mae Brittain Mellon of Cherryville; his wife Donna Carpenter Mellon; his son Isaiah Mellon (Laurin) of Lincolnton; his granddaughter Ellah Mellon; and his siblings, Joyce Sneed and Eddie Mellon of Cherryville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home (405 N Dixie St, Cherryville, NC 28021). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the City Memorial Cemetery (300 E Church St, Cherryville, NC 28021).
