With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rodney Bridges of Cherryville, North Carolina, who passed away on August 6, 2020 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parent Tressie Wells Bridges of Cherryville; his wife Beverly Shumate Bridges; his children, Eric Bridges (Crystal), Angela B. Wilkinson, Buffey B. Ramsey (Dustin) and Erika Clawson Sigmon (David); his sister Peggy Bridges Schronce (Larry); and his grandchildren, Matt Bridges, Alex Bridges, Lauren Bridges, Ethan Woods, Mason Ramsey, Austin Wilkinson (Olivia), Cain Wilkinson and Emma Grace Sigmon. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and face coverings will be required.

Memorials may be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church, New Sanctuary Fund, 3240 Tryon Courthouse Rd. Cherryville, NC 28021.
