He is survived by: his siblings, Jimmy Powell, Deborah Powell Parker, Jerry Powell, Toney Powell, Johnny Powell and Earlene "Lenee" Powell; and his son Samuel Powell (Candice). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
