He is survived by: his wife Gale Lambert Penley; his sisters, Lora Loretta Dellinger (Bruce) and Tammy Marie Underdown (Shorty); his in-laws, Cathy Lafone (Monie Burrow), Ricky Lambert, Ralph David Lowman (Nancy) and Mary Hedrick; his nieces and nephews, Norman Dellinger, Russell Hedrick, Barry Totherow, Marie Safley, Ashley Walker, Renee Underdown, Heather Underdown, Keisha Kirkpatrick, Leigh Kirkpatrick, Sherrie Smith and Alisha Ann; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Destini, Leah, Braelynn, Cheyenne, Dixie, Kayla, Dawn, BJ, Landin, Eric and David Lee.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Carpenter Porter Funeral & Cremation Services (1100 E Main St, Cherryville, NC 28021). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at the Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery (300 E Church St, Cherryville, NC 28021).
