She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carmie M. Willis (Lillie Mae Newton) and Mildred; her stepmother Myra Willis; her siblings, Clyde Willis, Johnny Willis and Christine McMurry; her son Todd McMurry (Julie); her granddaughter Sherri Connor (Wayne); her sisters, Sue Pittman (Russell) and Mary Ellen McCarey (Mike); and her grandchildren, Chelsey Skinner (Josh), Katlyn Connor, Brittany Buchanan (Cole), Issac Connor, Oliver, Ruby and Harrison Skinner. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Polkville Baptist Church (4214 Polkville Rd, Polkville, NC 28136). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the Mildred's family has requested memorials be made to VIA Health Partners, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150.
