He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Everette Beam and Rosemary Peeler Beam Gardner; and his brother Donald E. Beam. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ponder Beam; his sons, Michael Beam (Leigh) of Raleigh and Martin Beam (Julia) of Apex; his siblings, Carlisle Beam of Raleigh and Julia B. Hoyle of Waynesville; and his grandchildren, Charlie Rains Beam, Mitchell Boyette Beam and Marlee Rose Beam.
