He was predeceased by: his parents, John Farris and Muriel Johnson Grant; and his brothers, Frank Farris (Charleen) and Dennis Wells. He is survived by: his wife Roxie Laws Farris; his daughter Stephanie Farris Small (Gerald Small, Jr.); his grandson Gerald "Buddy" Small, III (Nicole Clifton); his sister Linda McMahan; and his sister-in-law Peggy Laws Cooper (Walter). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
