She was predeceased by: her parents, David Earl Philbeck and Edna Bell Melton Philbeck; her husband Gene Barber Whisnant; and her brother Ricky Philbeck. She is survived by: her siblings, John Philbeck of Polkville, Brenda Beam of Cherryville and Sybil Edwards (Steve) of Polkville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Polkville Methodist Church (219 Church Dr, Polkville, NC 28136). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
