She was predeceased by: her parents, Hillard Leatherman and Margaret Smith Leatherman; and her niece Allison Bennett Hovis. She is survived by: her husband Richard Eaker; her son Chris Eaker of Raleigh; her sister Lynn Bennett (Rocky) of Cherryville; and her nieces and nephews, Kevin Bennett (Lutricia), Wesley Bennett (Kristen), Kyle Bennett, Kim Huffman (Dustin), Dana Helms and Kenny Helms (Carrie).
