He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Frederick Smallwood Sr. and Dixie Knight Stinnette; and his siblings, Rufus Smallwood, Dewey Clyde Stinnette, Bonnie Roberts and Betty Wright.
He is survived by: his brother Don; his sister-in-law Wilma Stinnette; and his nieces, B. J. Hart and Lisa Smallwood. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
