She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Elbert Thomas, Sr. and Mary Jane Hurdt Thomas; her husband Jack Champion; her brother George Thomas; her daughter Judy Kay; her close friend Faye Brittain; and her pet Bella.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Champion (Velvet), Darren Champion (Candy) and Teresa Champion; her brother Troy Thomas, Jr.; her grandchildren, Trenton Champion (Deanna), Haley Ike (Adrian) and Camren Champion (Vivien); her great grandchild Mia Ike; her close friend Claudean Elmore; her pet Angel; and also Rick Sloop.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (2834 W Old North Carolina 150 Hwy, Crouse, NC 28033). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery (2834 W Old North Carolina 150 Hwy, Crouse, NC 28033).
