With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorene Neill Summey of Cherryville, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on November 24, 2023 at the age of 106. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lorene Neill Summey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Newton and Mincie Short Neill; her husband Walter Summey; and her siblings, Lula Hullender, Ollie Humphries, Zettie Morrison, Flay Neill and Louis Barrett.
She is survived by: her stepson Roger William Summey of Vale; her nieces, Brenda Crain (Kenneth) of Lawndale, Carolyn Stokes of Conover and Judi Browne (Terry) of Blowing Rock; her nephew Tuck Barrett of Daytona Beach; and her close friend Joseph Parks. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many other extended family members; and the wonderful caregivers.
