He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling Ray Newsome, Sr. and Ellen Woodard McCracken. He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Hostetter (Ben) of Conover, NC and Jessica Ward of Lancaster, PA.; and his siblings, Sterling Newsome, Jr. of South Carolina, Sherry McCracken of Maryland and Billy Newsome of Tennessee.
