With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kay Willis of Cherryville, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 13, 2024 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Carl Beam, Sr. and Elizabeth Leonhardt Beam; her husband Robert L. Willis, Sr.; and her siblings, Ray, Jake, Pratt, Tom Beam, Ruth Haxby, Dot Carpenter and Nell Parker.
She is survived by: her son Robbie Willis (Stephanie) of Cherryville; her brother Henry Carl "Bug" Beam, Jr. (Peggy) of Perkinston, MS; her grandchildren, Matt Willis (Kelli Howze), Justin Hickson Jessica Hickson (Brooke) and Macie Deaton (Brandon); and her great grandchildren, Jayden, Emmy Adams, Renlee Deaton and Jacob Howze. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
