She was predeceased by: her parents, Cramer Slaughter and Mary Slaughter; her son Smith Jr.; and her siblings, Jakey Slaughter, Jane Carpenter, Evon McKinney and Barbara Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Gantt; her sister Carolyn Lail; and her grandchildren, Travis Lee Gates, Amber Smith, Katie Whisnant and Kimberly Faulk. She is also survived by her 3 great-grandchildren.
