He is survived by: his wife Jean Patterson Arthur; his son J. T. Arthur (Ashley) of Cherryville; his stepson Jeff McCall of Belmont; his grandson Ashton Arthur; his stepgrandson Devin Hoskins; and his sisters, Judy Willis of Lawndale and Betsy Chapman (Marvin) of Sherrills Ford.
