He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Willard McElroy and Margaret Yarborough McElroy; his wife Charlene Devlin McElroy; and his brother Guy Willard McElroy II. He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Simmons (Jonah) of Lawndale; and his granddaughters, Lelia Potter and Emily Simmons.
