We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2020, at the age of 73, John Hardy III (Cherryville, North Carolina), born in Covington, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harvey Hardy Jr. and Helen Smith Hardy. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Kay" South Hardy; his children, John Harvey Hardy IV of Roanoke, VA and Melissa Hardy Altman (David) of Goodview, VA; his grandchildren, Luke, Hope and Lauren Altman; his stepchildren, Lee Collins of Houston, TX and Christie Martin (Matthew); his stepgranddaughters, Stella and Jasmine Martin; his siblings, Michael Hardy (Marcia) of Shellman Bluff, GA and Martha Huffman of Shellman Bluff, GA; and his aunt Mary Hardy O'Neill of Covington, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many other family members.
