He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy William and Dallas Hoyle Boston; and his siblings, Donald, Carl, Bob Boston, Cora Mae Emert and Gertrude Spake.

He is survived by: his sons, Johnny Boston Hull (Kathy) of Maiden and Donald Boston Hull (Gail) of Lincolnton; his brother Ronald Boston (Faye) of Crouse; his nephew Dwayne Boston (Brenda) of Crouse; his grandsons, John Hull, Justin Hull and Kenny Helms; and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel Helms, Daniel Helms, Caleb Helms and Hunter Hull.
