He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette G. Alexander and Sibbie Frances Self Alexander; and his son Joe David Alexander. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Greene Alexander; his children, Mary Ann Capps (Mark) of Kings Mountain and Donald Alexander (Kim); his sister Frances Grigg of Cherryville; his grandchildren, Bryce Alexander (Natasha), Emily Vaughn, Brock Alexander (Meredith) and Matthew Drake; and his great grandchildren, Sierra Alexander, Bryer, Bruin Alexander and Camden Vaughn.
