He is survived by: his wife Debbie Beam Austin; his daughters, Michelle Surratt and Nikki Bess (Brenton); his grandchildren, Taylor Philbeck, April Austin, Jaime Whitley, Gabe Bess, Lukas Bess and Zoey Bess; his great grandchild Jordan Philbeck; and his brother-in-law Sam (Kristen Beam). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
