He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Vinton McCurry and Odell Mosteller McCurry; his former wife Barbara Garner McCurry; his wife Nancy Neill McCurry; his daughter Marsha Bumgarner; and his siblings, Mary Lou McDonald, Eddie Joe and Kenneth McCurry.
He is survived by: his children, Danny McCurry of Crouse, Jimmy McCurry of Lincolnton, Patsy Felmet of Vale and Teresa Huffstetler of Dallas; his stepchildren, Lynn Costner of Crouse, Jodi Neill of Cherryville and Jason Neill of South Carolina; and his sisters, Lois Eden of Cherryville, Betty Schronce of Lincolnton and Vickie Schrum of Lincolnton. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
