He was predeceased by: his parents, John Clifton and Annie Whitworth Hester; his daughter Christy Hester; his sister Shirley Hester Gales; his father-in-law Athalee Scates; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Scates, Richard Pruitt, Jasper Gales, Jerri Ramsey and Brenda Morrison.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Scates Hester; his siblings, Brenda Hester Pruitt and R. Steve Hester (Sue); and his siblings-in-law, Butch Scates (Pat) and Dottie Towery (Ed). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; his McDonald's friends.
