She was predeceased by: her parent Deputy Sheriff William Lewis; her husband Dwight Elwood Mabry; her siblings, Clarah Vae Phillips, Mamie Phillips Vest and William Morris Phillips (Freeda); her brother-in-law George Heafner; and her nephew David Edmond Wesley Schlosser.

She is survived by: her parent Cordova Quesenberry Phillips; her daughter Cathy Mabry Cloninger; her son-in-law Alan Cloninger of Dallas; her son Douglas Scott Mabry; her daughter-in-law Tami Mabry of Cherryville; her granddaughters, Shawna Barrett Tillery (Jim) of Greensboro and Madison Paige Mabry of Concord; her great grandchildren, Caroline Faye Tillery of Greensboro and Jackson Ajalon Tillery of Greensboro; her niece Rebecca Heafner Schlosser (Michael) of Greensboro; and her brother-in-law Earl Stewart Vest of Floyd, VA..
