He is survived by: his wife Kay Elizabeth Ingle West; his children, Keith O. West (Julie) of Gastonia, NC, Denise West Fullbright (Gregory) of Rome, GA, Deana West Shortridge (Daniel) of Crouse, NC and Donna West Bolick (Marcus) of Gastonia, NC; his grandchildren, Brian Fullbright, Michael Fullbright, Kevin West, Emily West, Jordan Shortridge, Kaitlyn Nguyen, Kristin Bolick, Allison Shortridge and Norah West; and his brother Eugene West. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
