He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Towery and Anne Maude Smith Towery; and his brothers, Billie Towery and Pinkney Towery. He is survived by: his close friend Becky Tallent; his daughter Joanie Towery of Connelly Springs; his grandchildren, Lane Willis and Paden Costner; and his siblings, Calvin Towery of Connelly Springs, Reba Garland of Morganton and Jean Towery of Connelly Springs. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
