It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Freda Knight of Cherryville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Buckner and Roxie Tedder Buckner; her husbands, James A. Knight, Clyde Robertson, Vic St. Cyr and Monroe Crigger; and her siblings, Lois Buckner Bowman and Charles Allen Buckner, Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, Stanley Monroe Crigger (Nancy) of Anderson, SC and Charles Walton Robertson (Johanna) of Cherryville, NC; her sisters, Elizabeth Peay and Betty Adams of Roanoke, VA; and her sister-in-law Anne Buckner of McMinnville, TN. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel (405 N Dixie St, Cherryville, NC 28021).
