He was predeceased by: his father J. P. Daves; and his siblings, J. P. Daves, Jr., Billy Daves, Clyde Daves, Bennett Daves, Patsy Ruth Daves, Betty Neill and Linda Pow.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Kay McNeely Daves; his children, Ginger McGee and Brad Daves (Nikki); his grandsons, Tyler Carpenter, Stephen Daves, Christopher McGee and Landon Daves; and his sisters, Reba Beam and Sybil Bender. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
