She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester C. "Coot" Williams and Nannie Frances Houser Williams; her husband James William Carpenter; and her siblings, James "Bunt", Dock, Howard Williams and Louise Green.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Moreau of Cherryville and Retia Shronce (Dale) of Cherryville; her sister Dorothy Upton of Cherryville; her grandchildren, Lisa Clayton Pritchard (Jerry) and Jimmy Moreau (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Kayla Pritchard, Wesley, Zach Pritchard, Alyssa, Ethan, Evan Moreau and Bristal Pritchard; and her sister-in-law Della Alexander Williams.
