With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth A. Fortenberry of Cherryville, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on October 1, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Randall "Bill" Holtzclaw and Florence Denton Holtzclaw; her husband Max Fortenberry; her daughter Cathy Criswell; and her brother Manley Hotlzclaw.
She is survived by: her sister Ponese Holtzclaw of Cherryville; her grandchildren, Emily Beam (Turner), Andy Eaker (Heather) and Devin Eaker; and her great grandchildren, Eden, Avery, Nora Ann, Cole and Madelyn.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home (405 N Dixie St, Cherryville, NC 28021). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Rose Hill Memorial Park (342 Jim Cline Rd, Lawndale, NC 28042).
