It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eleanor Morris (Cherryville, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on May 10, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hunter Ervin Mauney, Sr. and Lois Moody Mauney; her daughters, Mary Alice Morris and Eleanor "Anne" Putnam; and her siblings, Clara Jean Smith and Kenneth "Bus" Mauney.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bobbi Conner (George) of Lincolnton and Donna Suttles Broome of Pumpkin Center; and her siblings, Shirlee Carrodus of Bessemer City and Hunter Mauney, Jr.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
