He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Willis and Inez Marie Willis; his children, Debra Ledford and Solomon Willis; and his sisters, Linda May and Peggy Petrea.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Powell Willis of Cherryville; his daughter Beth Plotts (Tim) of Asheville; his grandchildren, Brooke Weaver of Asheville and Casey McDonald (Jon) of Asheville; his great grandchildren, Josiah and Maryella McDonald; and his siblings, Larry Willis of Vale, Katherine Burton of Vale and Carolyn Turner of Lincolnton.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel (405 N Dixie St, Cherryville, NC 28021).
