He is survived by: his wife Linda Elrod Sims; his children, Amanda Sims and Hollie Sims; his stepson Dennis Hunter; his brother Thomas Michael Sims; his grandchildren, Dustin Hunter, Hannah Chandler and Joshua Chandler; his great grandchildren, Levi Hunter and Lucas Hunter; and his nephews, Ricky Hale, Jerry Hale and Phillip Heavner.
