She was predeceased by: her parents, Junious Clyde and Sue Lingerfelt Helms. She is survived by: her husband Mayor H. L. Beam, III; her daughters, Angela Beam Walker (Reggie) and Ashley Beam Long (Preston); her grandchildren, Olivia Blake Walker, Harrison Landrum Walker, Alexander Preston Long, Avery Grace Walker, Dawson Cole Long and Isabella Caroline Long; her brothers, J. C. Helms (Diane) and Monty Helms (Pat); her cousin Bobbie Jean Grant; and her close friends, Fatty and Linda Hudson.
