He was predeceased by: his parents, Yates Franklin Mauney, Sr. and Hilda Black Mauney; his brother Yates "Buck" Mauney, Jr.; and his nephew Tripp Mauney. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Neill Mauney; and his children, David Hunter Mauney, Ben David Mauney and Jaclyn Elizabeth Mauney of Cherryville.
