He is survived by: his wife Sabrina Gibson Spangler; his sons, Carl "Chip" Maynard Spangler, IV of Simpsonville, SC, Joshua Luke Spangler (Taylor Laken Spangler) of Mooresboro and John Michael Spangler of Greer, SC; and his siblings, Dr. Michael Spangler (Karen) of Winston-Salem, Susan Duncan (Thomas) of Raleigh and Angela Anthis (Stephen) of Winston-Salem.
