He is survived by: his wife Mary Paxton Shaffer; and his sons, Robbie Shaffer (Jina) of Fallston, Mike Shaffer (Sandy) of Fallston, David Shaffer of Fallston, Ronald Shaffer (Gina Willis) of Belwood and Richie Shaffer (Becky) of Maiden. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
