We are sad to announce that on December 27, 2024, at the age of 87, Carlos Gutierrez (Cherryville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Gutierrez and Maria Teresa Arberas Gutierrez; and his brother Alfonso Gutierrez, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hoyle Gutierrez; his children, John Charles Gutierrez of Spartanburg, SC., Teresa Gutierrez Poplin (Ike) of Greenville, SC., Suzanna Barbara Gutierrez Duckett (Greg) of Cherryville and Patricia Marielena Gutierrez Smith (Jeremy) of Redmond, WA; his brother Eduardo Gutierrez (Candi) of Ridgewood, NJ.; his grandchildren, Catherine Poplin Zielinski (Steve), Isaac Poplin, Jr. (Ali), Chase Poplin, John Clayton Gutierrez, Graham Gutierrez, LCpl Jackson Gutierrez, Joseph Gutierrez, Charlie Gutierrez, Abigail Smith Patteson (Josiah), Berkeley Smith, Evelyn Smith, Noah Smith and Ana Duckett; and his great grandchild Everett Zielenski.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services (1100 E Main St, Cherryville, NC 28021).
