It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Boyce Edwin Whitener Jr. of Cherryville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 20, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyce Edwin and Martha Evelyn Hodges Whitener, Sr.; his siblings, Phil Whitener and Martha Sue Roberts; and his grandson Joshua Raines.
He is survived by: his children, Marty Whitener, Shane Whitener and Evelyn Raines; and his siblings, Mike Whitener, Cathy Duncan and Lynn King. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many other cherished relatives and friends.
