He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Eugene and Vida Mauney Sigmon; his wife Betty Boyd Sigmon; his siblings, J. T. Sigmon, Harold Sigmon, Paul Sigmon, Elsie Sigmon, Christine Sigmon Brown and Meredith Sigmon Moore; his siblings-in-law, Pat Sigmon, Deanne Sigmon, Brenda Holland, Scharlene Reynolds and Gary Moore; his nieces and nephews, Suzanne Sigmon, Meleia Garcia, Jeff Brown and Scott Faulkenbury; and his brother Darril Sigmon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Myra (Roy Farnsworth) and Sandy (David Heafner); his grandchildren, Meggan Harrelson, Seth and Logan Farnsworth; his sister Patricia; his brother-in-law Larry Schubert of Charlotte; his brothers, Martel Sigmon, Tim (Becky Sigmon), Dennis Sigmon and Jimmie Sigmon of Lincolnton; and his siblings-in-law, Marie Sigmon, Dot Sigmon, Allie Faulkenbury, Kay Stewart and Bill Holland.
